oy oy oy.. OKOY!

INGREDIENTS:
1/2 kilo suahe (small black shrimps)
1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup cornstarch
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
2 egg, well beaten
1/2 cup water
salt; pepper and patis, to taste
1 cup togue (beans sprouts)
cooking oil


PROCEDURE:
1. wash shrimps.
2. meanwhile, make the BATTER by mixing the flour, cornstarch and baking powder with the egg. Add the water. Season with salt, pepper, and patis. Add more water if necessary to make a thick and smooth but not lumpy batter.
3. arrange togue and shrimps on a saucer. Add enough batter to fill the saucer.






4. in a pan, heat the oil. Empty the saucer into tha pan, by pushing the batter with a wooden spoon carefully to retain round shape of the resulting okoy. Deep-fry then drain on paper napkin. Serve hot and crisp with a vinegar-garlic-salt-pepper dip.




--nang pinatikim ko yan sa teacher ko nung highschool at sa friend kong HRM student din, nagulat ako kasi bigla silang namangha sakin.. hindi nila inaakalang makakapagluto ako nang ganyang kasarap.. hihhihi. kahit ako. hindi ako makapaniwala.. masarap pala.. THE BEST OKOY! :)
